Weapon Shoot Animation, Speed up Loop Time?

Hello! I am making a weapon script and I ran into a small hiccup. How can I make a shoot animation that is 1/2 second long look like it is actually looking at the weapons correct fire rate? I’ve tried making a Boolean that keeps turning on and off to continuously play and stop the animation, but no luck. Any help is much appreciated!

If you have unity 5.1 you can use controller’s parameter to control the speed of any animation.
