Just out of curiosity, what assets would you like to see in the store the most? I think that topic like this could help asset store modelers to provide models that can attract more people. There is already topic which asks if you would preffer art, scripts, project or other package but this topic is specificly leaning towards art.
What i’d love to see:
- Characters - comic (with mobile-game-spec versions)
What others’ might love to see:
- Vehicles in all colors and ages (also Spaceships)
- more ultra lowpoly/lowdrawcall stuff for mobile games
actually i don’t like those polls. It encourages people to model stuff they normally wouldn’t and it will end up in low quality assets on the store, because they think they can earn fast money with it.
I’m resurrecting this poll as I’m curious to know what other developers are interested in as far as art assets go as well. If anyone has specific requests, please write them in the thread. I’ve also mulled the idea of building art assets for the asset store, but it strikes me as difficult to create something that more than a very few people would have use for.
Asset store needs some low-poly (1500-2000) vehicles. (car, bus, truck)

You don’t know that my post wasn’t aiming at him directly, i know that his work is awesome. i just don’t like these polls, because other people that may “think” they are artists will see it, produce something that many want but in a real bad quality.

I want fantasy mobs
I would like to see “hero packs”. What is a hero pack a hero pack is someone think bruce campbell from army of darkness, he has various weapons -chainsaw, shotgun, axe whatever (a variety of weapons with a variety of attack animations I guess is the point).
This is the “hero character” that the player is going to use, so if someone was doing a minigore game, smash tv whatever they can just “plug it in”.
I would also like to see some enemies that actually can go with the “hero pack” (so zombies whatever that are in the same style).
I suppose arenas that could also be used in the same thing. If people could kind of “work together” to get a “common style” not all over the place and all it is "placeholder art’ then you can just kind of “plug and play” mix and match. Then people might be willing to pay more money for it, but maybe not.
I want to see a space fleet pack. I’ve had such a hard time finding anything, I’ve resorted to teaching myself to model. (Yikes!) I’m looking for RTS spaceships, a set of fighters, bombers, frigates, corvettes, cruisers, destroyers, battleships, and a mothership. Preferably 2+ factions Though, I would crawl over broken glass for one faction with several different ships in each class.
