I’m new to 3d modeling and I need some characters for my game, I’ve heard there are editors that allows you to create them without knowing about modeling at all.. I’ve seen www.mixamo.com but it seems that they are not free -_-

Check the asset store, google search. Not sure just what you will find for free. Save up and purchase some of the great models by Poboczny, Arteria, 3dFoin or Mr Necturus. Or any number of other guys. That was just off the top of my head.

Free is a very heavy price to pay. Either you’ll wait for the ‘perfect’ thing to come out, wasting your time, or you’ll settle for something that’s not quite what you want, or go for something illegal or binding you legally (non-commercial use licenses and credit requirements are a real plague). These ‘solutions’ will invade your thoughts and waste your energies more often than not.
Instead, you could simply pay someone to do it, look for quality assets by self-respecting creators who know the value of what they make or create it yourself. Then you’ll be free (see what I did there?) to move on to the next step instead of being stuck there.
Yes, free comes at a price. Too often it’s a lot easier and affordable to buy or make what you need (also fun!).
That said, the Asset Store is a good place to look at, given that Unity 4 is around the corner with improved features that will apparently make humanoid characters a lot easier to use with animations in your games.
