Hey i’ve been drawing a few sprites in photoshop, and when I import them to Unity a little white edge appears ( I’m using SM2) I have also tryed to make it into a Alpha ( http://unity3d.com/support/documentation/Manual/HOWTO-alphamaps.html) but unsuccessfully, would anyone be able to explain how i could import my sprites without getting that white edge?

It also happened to me and that worked.
hmm cant seem to install the ¨free plugin¨ to my photoshop
In Unity 4.2.1f check Alpha is Transparency in Advance Texture Type
For the white edges caused by filtering, going to Photoshop and treating the image is one option, though kind of cumbersome if you have a lot of textures given to you by a lot of artists.
Here’s another tool I made that does the something similar that also solves this issue, right in Unity. Unity Asset Store - The Best Assets for Game Making
