work for a great company?

Hi all…

i know it is possible to be patrocined by a big company like Nintendo, Sega, Sony…

Nintendo and Sega have casual games and look like indie tittles, i was recently looking into SEGA homepage, that they produce ipod (touch) games, casual games, and if you think… tittles like Outrun (an incredible addictive game) has been created by indie groups…

Does someone knows the process to be patrocined by one of those companies?..

You mean patronage? Is that still a thing?

Maybe petitioned?

From Spanish it translates to English as sponsor, so patronage would fit.

It’s still around, it’s just not a term used in English (North American) much any more. Not sure about business but in academia it’s really common (the practice, not the word).

@OP: Don’t know, depends on what you mean. In the purest sense of the word probably not.

Yes, i was talking about sponsor, … i recently saw that your sponsor takes more than 50% of gain and you can include the splash screen (in this case Sega) in your game, which it will make your title can be showed by sega homepage, sega market… and so… :\

And that’s if you go to them with a nearly complete polished game.

If you go to a Publisher, and they fund you, give you access to dev kits, do marketing, etc. They can take even more of the cut. 80-90%.
