It’s been about 20 minutes as I stare at the Unity Hub installation of Unity 2021.3.38f1 which is stuck at “In progress (12 of 13 completed)”.
I do not see any of the notorious Microsoft Windows 11 Pro “pop-under” windows that can sometimes be the culprit to installing just about anything, but this time, at least, that does not seem to be the cause of the “big stall”.
I have a hard-wired CAT-6e Ethernet connection to a 940mbps fiber-optic internet (fiber all the way to the router) on Windows 11 Pro, Intel i7, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, so it’s not like I’m installing on a slow computer.
Has anybody else seen this behavior?
if so, did cancelling the install do any damage?
I’m going to wait another hour and see if it clears up
