Hello folks,
Is it possible to apply external IES file on area light instead of point light or spot light and gain a result that (1) keep the rectangle shape of the light source,and (2) keep the light distribution pattern ?
To be specific, my project intends to simulate the real-life light condition in a room, and the light source is natural light coming from a rectangle window.
When importing IES file and drag its child prefab to the scene, unity automatically assign it as point light, which destroy the light source’ shape. However I need it to be area light that has rectangle shape. If changing to area light manually, the light distribution pattern disappear. Can some techinique keep both of the light shape and distribution pattern?
