Asset Store and Unity version restrictions

Would have sworn wav was supported to some extent in version’s previous of Unity 4.x, So getting real tired of seeing this…:rage: Come on Unity support the older User Base.

Whatever version they publish the asset in is what it requires as a minimum.

Lot’s a developers push from v3.5 so it works for more people, not the case with this asset.

It’s up to the asset author, and in this case the asset author has decided he would like to make less money.

They should just make it so you have to fill out a version ON the asset store and if you browse from a different version, it’ll cull the incompatible versions from the results.

Or just use the version from the Unity instance you are browsing the store from, with an option to see them all. (Default to only seeing compatible ones.)

Yeah, that’d probably be best. ESPECIALLY if there’s a way to make it filter out pro-only utilities.

Instead of complaining you should write a bug report with type of “Feature request” and they might listen to you.

Or upgrade.

What would be nice is an option when uploading to just check compatible versions, if someone is shipping something like a texture pack, it’s not like unity 3.5 didn’t support textures even if he’s uploading from 4.X
