Beach Ball

How do I make a beach ball?

Meaning, if I have a texture, I am struggling to figure out how I should draw it, so it is mapped accurately on a sphere.

A 3D Max Sphere has default UV’s which would work if you just created a straight linear texture from top to bottom.

Ok, thank you. Now is there a way to place this sprite, on an atlas and access it? I am having trouble sorting how any one 3D mesh can access a particular portion of an atlas.

There’s no sprites here renman, this is a texture. I think what your talking about is texture packing.
