Hello, I’m trying to follow the tutorial about how to create a simple tree with the Tree Creator, but every time I come to the part where I create and assign materials to the bark and leaves, the result is a blue-tinted shader over the whole tree.
The textures are still visible under the heavy blue tint but… what in the world am I doing wrong here? Is that a known issue or am I a pioneer? I’m on Windows 7, Unity 4. And I have re-imported the tree creator assets package numerous times, without managing to get rid of the problem.
More info about the way to recreate the issue: When I put the “Big Tree” example asset in my scene everything look normal. It’s only when I select the trunk node or the leaves node (in the Inspector) that Unity thinks for a while (I can glimpse a progress bar) and then the whole tree becomes tinted in blue. And optionally the branches disappear, leaving only the trunk and the leaves. What’s happening here?
Ok, after some more tests it turns out this is a bug on Unity’s side. Or rather in the only tree example asset that comes with the Tree Creator package:
