I’ve tried twice today to post a question on Answers, and both times I received a message telling me that my question needs to be reviewed by a moderator, and if I think this message is an error, to contact a system admin (or words to that effect). It’s probably staring me in the face, but I don’t see where to contact a system admin. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks.
You should contact an administrator only if you believe you shouldn’t need moderator approval.
I don’t use answers much myself, I believe you need to have so many points/reputation before you can post questions freely without approval.
I assume you don’t have enough points/reputation, in which case you need to wait for a moderator to approve your question before it will be shown on the website.
The reason for the approval process is to protect against spammers.
If it’s your first few posts, this is normal behavior.
All users with less than 10(?) reputation automatically move their posts to the moderator queue. All moderators are community volunteers, so queue times are kind of all over the place.
Thank you @DanielQuick and @LaneFox , that makes sense now. I apologize for taking so long to get back to you.
As of today, Unity Answers no longer requires moderation for new users. I have seen one post go into the moderation queue though, so perhaps there are some issues to work out, but going forward this shouldn’t be a concern.
@Dave-Carlile , that’s excellent news! Thank you.
