Hi,
Every time I try to download any version of unity from the hub to add some add ons I get this error:

for all the files. However, I recently changed the install and download locations so it might be that but I do not know how to change it back or what to change it back to.
Also, is there a way to add modules to existing editors that are downloaded from the unity hub 3.0.0 beta?
I hope someone can help soon.
Many Thanks,
M.A.
Your path looks like M.\Program Files… which doesn’t look like a correctly named path. Click on the gear icon in the upper right of the Hub and show your path setting for Unity Editors Folder.
Can you try with C:\Program Files… as a test?
The same error occurs.
But it worked previously (since you mentioned you are adding modules, which implies that a version of Unity is already installed), what’s changed? If it’s only the path you changed, then put it back to the original path.
I can’t remember the original pathway
Where is your existing install of Unity physically located? Look under C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files (x86)
I have C:\Program Files\unity hub and the same for drive M but in drive M I have M:\Program Files\Unity .
Which one is it?
So can you confirm that you actually have a version of Unity installed already that is working for you? Is it on drive M: ? Can you run Unity? And you already tried “C:\Program Files\Unity” , correct? (that is, you didn’t actually type in the … part)
How much disk space do you have left on C:\ ? You’re likely going to need 5+ Gigs
I have 82GB left
Only do this if you have the time and you can afford to further troubleshoot your problems with disks and unity installations:
So, what I would do:
- uninstall all unity versions through Hub
- exit the Hub completely (right click Quit Unity Hub in the system tray)
- go to the drive “M”
- remove the “M:\Program Files\Unity*” folders if they still exist (or the entire Program Files on the M drive if doesn’t contain anything else)
- create one folder on the drive “M”: “UnityEditors”
- run the Hub
- open the gear icon / select installs
- set the “Installs location” to “M:\UnityEditors”
- set the “Downloads location” to “C:\Users<YourWindowsUsername>\AppData\Local\Temp” (this is the Unity default)
- head to the Install section, choose an editor and install it with the modules you like
Side note: AFAIK you can’t add modules to installed editor versions if you installed it manually and you only added to the Hub manually.
it looks like I do not have the path …\AppData\Local\Temp because I can not find AppData, do you know why?
Okay, you’re either trying
-
to find it in the File Explorer, in this case you need to check the “Hidden items”

-
or you seriously messed up something with your computer. Have you moved your User folder in Windows or something? You have “Program Files” on the M:\ drive too. Is your Windows on the “M” drive for some reason?
I found it now.
@ can you please help?
- do you have the temp folder?
- do you have space on the C:\ drive?
- do you have the right to write to the drive?
