Cheetah3D into Unity : Obscure Error

I’ve just purchased Unity and Cheetah after playing with trials of both.

So I’ll begin by saying that before I added animations/bones to the model I was able to import just fine. The model loaded into the scene and stood there textured and pretty.

The following error occurred after I added the bones and several takes/poses.

Couldn’t import file /Users/crappygraphix/Sandbox/Temp/ExportedCheetahFBXFile.fbx.
Unidentified error

As you can see I can’t tell much about what is wrong from the error. Any advice would be welcome.

Well I should have been more thorough with my debugging. It appears that my issue is with Cheetah3D’s FBX exporter. I tried to export as an FBX manually and the application crashed.

If anyone has any insight please let me in on the secret.

In the mean time I’ll sniff around the Cheetah forums to see if anyone else has encountered this as well.

Thanks in advance for any help you all can give.

It was in fact a Cheetah issue and had to do with the organization of my submeshes in the model.
