I’m having a really frustrating issue where my colors are altering a lot when I do a build of the game.
I’ve already tried using linear color instead of gamma, and that is not the issue (it does change the colors, but in a very different way.)
I’m not sure what you mean by a more similar example. All of the colors are different (all desaturated). It may not look super extreme in the screenshot, but it gives the whole game a washed anemic affect thats really unpleasant.
Any ideas on why this could be occurring?
Note: the build is for Mac, I haven’t tried it on any other platforms, so I don’t know if it’s a Mac specific issue or not.
This is the only thread I could find about this issue. It’s still a thing sadly.
I thought I was going crazy, but indeed the macOS build outputs weird, dim colors.
And it has been, apparently, for the last 3 years. It’s really disheartening to set up colors in my game, and then play a build only to be met with slightly washed out, dim colors.
Also sad to see others say “not a big difference.”
It’s like the macos build includes a desaturate filter and remaps your colors from 0-255 to 1-249… When comparatively, every other website, game, movie, youtube video, image, on your computer looks more vibrant than a unity macos build.
