Example:
Let’s say I made a video game on unity and earned more than a 100k. Do I have to pay for unity plus even if I stop developing with unity but still earn money from my game or can I stop payment as long as I stop using unity.,Example:
Made a video game and earned more than 100k. Stopped using unity, but game is still making money. Can I stop paying for unity plus although I stopped developing or do I continue paying as long as I make money from my game.

Well, first of all I’d like to point out that you won’t get any reliable legal information here on Unity Answers. We are not lawyers.
Apart from that there are a few things that should be made clear:
- If you get a Unity plus or pro subscription you have a minimum subscription period. This is called the “commitment period”. So once you subscribed you have to pay at least for that period before you can actually cancel your subscription
- When you cancel your subscription (after the commitment period) your Unity licence would turn back into a personal license.
- Technically once you released a game made with Unity personal / plus / pro you don’t need to subscribe to plus or pro when you earn more than 100k. However if you do earn more than 100k you are not longer allowed to use Unity personal. Therefore when you don’t have a plus or pro subscription you can no longer use Unity at all. This does not affect your build and published games. Though that means you can not create any updates or bugfixes for your game since you don’t have a valid license. Again if you earn more than 100k you are not allowed to use a personal license. So you’re not allowed to even start the Unity Editor since you don’t have a valid license in such a case.
- Keep in mind that the restriction applies to how much you earned in the last 12 month. So in theory if you earned more than 100k in the last 12 month you can no longer used Unity personal. However in case you earn less than 100k during the next year, after that year you could again use Unity personal.
This is all quite hypothetical. See the Subscription FAQs for more details and when in doubt contact a lawyer or the Unity sales team.
Just to make that clear: The commitment period is usually 12 month. If you get a Unity plus subscription you have to pay at least 12 x $40 == $480, if you get a pro subscription you have to pay 12 x $150 == $1800 before you can cancel your subscription.
for some reason I typed the question twice sorry.
