Error while installing Unity. (Error code: UnitySetup64.exe)

Hello,

I’ve been trying to re-install Unity on my computer (HP Elitebook 8470p, Intel Core i5-3340M, Windows 7 Professional) in order to include Android build capabilities but keep encountering the error dialog below. I have attempted to find an answer on the Unity forums with the associated error code but the only thread I encountered with a match error code was an answered one from Aug 2015 (http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/error-when-downloading-unity-5-on-windows-10.351367/?_ga=1.154536571.254838827.1470318996).

Unity 5.3.4 was previously installed on this computer with no problem. The problems only arose when I uninstalled my old version and attempted to reinstall 5.4.1. I attempted to delete all Unity associated files but it does not seem to have had an effect. Running the exe as an administrator seemed unhelpful as well.

Thanks for whatever advice you guys can offer.

Not sure, but you’re trying to install the 64bit version of Unity. Does your edition of Windows7 support 64bit?

According to System Information it seems that PC is 64bit whereas the Windows version seems to be 32bit.
System Type x64-based PC
System Directory C:\Windows\system32

Sadly enough, I still get the associated error for the 32bit .exe as well. Thanks for the tip in any case!
