How can I play my own subtitles + youtube(or own movie) in unity

Good day to all!
I am hard of hearing by the developer. Try hand at creating your own in Unity3d player with unique subtitles (closed captions) for deaf people. In particular children.
Can I use this engine for playback of external subtitle format srt?
Suppose play videos through texture movie, and on top of overlay subtitles reproduce.
Synchronization, stop and rewind - possible?

What is the platform you want to use? On Standalone Windows it is quite easy to play videos as Texture, but on android or IOS you have to use some cool 3rd party plugins like MobileMovieTextures or equivalent. For Subtitles you can learn a lot from this youtube video Unity Audio Subtitles Tutorial - YouTube. It is almoast a ready to go solution, with pouse, and resume functionality.
Although you will have to sync those two, to work together, and with sound as well.
