How do you browse and find assets?

I have lots of assets on the asset store.
so far when I need something that I may find online for my project and I want to check if I own it in the asset store, I go to the website and search or use the filters (e.g 3D, VFX, Editor…)

I would love to have a tool that can let me orginize my purchased assets into folders, such as (3D->Houses, 3D->Nature, Tools->Editor, Tools->Scripting)
I purchased lots of assets, and it’s getting hard to keep track, even from the built in package manager. I love it, but from the UI side it could be a lot better!
I still find myself going over all my assets using a specific filter.
Ive looked into asset inventory 3 and similar solutions but they work mostly for downloaded assets.
would love to know how you handle assets purchased from the asset store.
thanks!

What about labels? on the asset store website, under “My Assets” you can add labels to your purchased assets and use these to filter them in the Package Manager.

I just purchased Asset Inventory and my plan is to download all assets from Asset Store and store them offline so I can use them with Asset Inventory.

Edit: actually, Asset Inventory might already have a mass download feature built-in, but I yet have to try it.

Yes, and likewise you can also use the “Hide Asset” feature to avoid getting those listed on the website and in Package Manager that you never use.

An alternative that takes a little upfront work but would then become second nature is to have one or more Unity projects acting as “asset categories” (ie 3d models, 3d env, 2d UI, etc) to which you install your purchased assets, and you can check for updates as well or prep the asset for import (ie do the URP conversion in there). However you’d need to be affluent in “free disk space”.
