How do you think your use of Unity Al and other similar tools will affect your spending on the Asset Store in the future?

Here is just one real case.

I believe the situation will change and become more challenging for game asset developers like us, especially for creatives such as 3D, shader, and texture artists. This is not only because more and more content can be generated by AI, but also because search behavior is changing. Fewer people are searching in the stores, which means fewer assets are being discovered.

At this stage since Unity has embraced the AI fad I’m less inclined to look at the store for art, and instead seek out artists to commission them directly. At least that way I can have more confidence it wasn’t AI generated.

definitely.. any small to medium tool you can already do in few prompts,
where previously you would google for it, might even buy something to save time.

3D asset generation is still behind, too high poly (but could easy to solve with added mesh optimizer, i tried pixyz to reduce faces from AI Hunyuan 3D mesh, it came out really clean)

That is really nice of you and good idea, so the artists also save the 30% store fee.

It’s obviously much more expensive to hire somebody to create something for you and therefore not something most indie developers can afford. And there’s no guarantee that the artist hasn’t used AI or just downloaded a free model from off Sketchfab and modified it. The only way to tell if you’re truly getting good value for money is to sit behind the artist watching them work while poking them in the back now and then.

We are eventually going to have to stop worrying about whether our girlfriends are human or not. A blowjob is a blowjob..

It will prob be a dip as users starts to enter the AI, but then return after a bit as they figure out they do not reach the quality of proper assets. that or everyone would have to price assets lower then a AI sub cost?

Did you test PicoBerry by UModeler?
