Hi everyone,
since a short time I upgraded my Unity version to the latest one. (Earlier I had 2018.1). As I wanted to download some free contents from the Asset Store, I clicked "Add to “My Assets”. I tested it with Firefox, Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer. The button changed to “Open in Unity”. I clicked again, as the browser asked me to open that link with Unity or choose another application.
I tested selecting Unity 2018, Unity 2023 and the Unity Hub, but all of these open with their normal start page, as I would have opened it from the start menu. Also, I couldn’t find a custom package to import.
So I have downloaded some stuff from GitHub. These packages also were importable, but they don’t work as expected.
So how do I install the store content in the right way?
Thanks, Frieder
Open Unity Editor to the project you want to import your store content to, then go to Window->Package Manager->My Assets, pick what you want from the list of things you’ve bought and you can download/import directly from that window. Another way is if you have a project open already, you should be able to click “Open in Unity” from the Asset Store website and it should then open the Package Manager window and select that asset for you (which you can then download/import from the button near the top right of the window).
