I removed my Unity Plus seat 9 days before my subscription period ends but still charged for the Unity Plus subscription.
There isn’t any Plus/Pro seats listed in “My Seats” section of id.unity.com. I’m not able to activate a Unity Plus license from the Unity Hub.
But I’m still paying for the Unity Plus subscription.
I opened a ticket but from my prior experiences they are not answering them any shorter than 2 weeks.
My ticket has a normal priority, meaning that it’s even possible that I may not get a reply for my ticket in 30 days and charged for even an other Unity Plus subscription in this time period.
You will have to deal with the support for refund if they allow it.
In the mean time, it is not enough to revoke the seat from yourself.
- Go to your organization dash board: https://id.unity.com/en/organizations//subscriptions
- Click on the name of your Subscription (“Unity Plus”)
- Click “Manage subscription”
- Click “I want to cancel auto-renewal” in the bottom-right corner.
Keep in mind that all licenses are annual (may paid monthly), so you are obligated to keep your license alive for at least 12 months.
I don’t have any paid seats in “My Seats” section.
So I can’t
- Click on the name of your Subscription (“Unity Plus”)
- Click “Manage subscription”
- Click “I want to cancel auto-renewal” in the bottom-right corner.
These licenses are not annual. It’s not working like that.
Even when they were annual subscription with special discount, you were paying the whole 12-month subscription at first. Then you were using your annual subscription.
I even removed my bank card information from the system as I was expecting them to continue charging for the Plus subscription because of a payment error.
But they reverted my user database to retrieve my bank card information.
At one point I believe there was a way to switch to a monthly subscription with the option to stop at any time after the initial annual plan ended but I don’t know if that’s still the case. I do know when you sign up that the license is always an annual license even if you want to pay monthly.
Like @ mentioned you need to reach out to customer support. You shouldn’t try to circumvent it on your own as depending on how you do it Unity may treat it as a breach of contract and close the account entirely with the most common guaranteed example being asking your bank to reverse charges.

It writes this in Manage Subcription page.
Your current plan:
1 x Unity Plus
Monthly
Commitment period : March 26, 2019 - August 25, 2023.
There is no option to remove this Unity Plus subcription. All I could do is to remove my Unity Plus seat.
Just to clarify, you do not have these tabs on your page?

Inside that “Manage Subscription” tab, for me, it looks like this:

I have that page. But it’s a monthly subscription. It’s not saying annual anywhere.
My Commitment period was previously ending at July 25, 2023.
I somehow confused and couldn’t cancelled the auto-renewal.
I will wait for Unity’s response before making any changes on my account. As I removed my Plus seats before my monthly subscription ended and didn’t used my subscription I expect them to refund my subcription fee.
I have been charged for the Unity Pro subscription today as well.
Are there any instructions on how to apply for a refund?
I am working on my own project at an online university, and $300 is an insanely high price for me.
