I think the Killer App for VR will be world building tools! ... but

But if you build a VR world/game building toolkit with Unity are you in breach of it EULA?

Hmm Microsoft have just bought Minecraft and are rumoured to be working on a VR HMD, maybe it’s already too late!

Or it could be a good time to own a popular minecraft like sandbox game!

Why would you break the EULA? Already many assets on the store that allows you to create worlds that you can then play in, or did you think about something else?

I think the Unity EULA prevents you from making a game engine tool and a powerful VR world builder based on Unity could probably be classed as you making a competing tool to Unity with Unity.

But I think taking the Unity Toolset into VR as a world/game building tool would be the Killer VR app. OK out of the box it’s not quite ideal you would need customisable avatars, world/level building tools.

It has an active navigable scene view and instant play features.

But Image a VR world builder with features like and extended from Unity so it would provide a store of ready made world building assets and easily allow players/builders to create Virtual Worlds whilst in the Virtual World.

At the moment most VR games and demos are pre-canned. Imagine a VR world/game/experience building app that is easy enough to use for most people it would be like living in a sci-fi future or magical kingdom depending on the theme you choose.

Now imagine building a FPS level and inviting your friends to play only for them to re-arrange it during the game. And the game to turn into a collaborative exploration of level design or for it to evolve into a simulated zombie apocalypse or for someone to turn off the gravity.
