Hi Guys
As explained in the title, i want to create a game for mobile, very similar to among us, but in 3D .
After some search, i am planning to use Photon fusion.
Photon , in their documentation, said that Client/Host mode is not good for mobile , because of the high rate of player disconnection. and i am not sure if it will be easy to implement Host migration. I am actually not even sure it will be working .
They are recommending, Fusion shared mode.
- should i use Fusion 2 - shared mode ?
- is cheating something i can’t prevent ? after all it’s not a highly competitive FPS ! should i really care about cheating for a game like Among Us?
- i found a ready sample in Fusion documentation, on how to create Among us using client/Host mode
but it is obvious that it is not for mobile
- i can’t use Quantum, i don’t have time to learn it from the beginning
Please advice me about the right technology to use ?
and if there are any good tutorials or resources i can follow
Doesn’t matter. What matter is you making a couple networking prototype projects to learn and understand the concepts involved in networking. You can transfer that knowledge to any networking solution, they are all quite similar.
This sort of question is telling that you have no network game coding experience yet, and that’ll be the “technology” that will most effectively prevent you from completing the project. As they say, multiplayer games are 4 times more challenging than a single-player game. Personally, I feel that’s an understatement. So first of all, learn the ropes. It can be quite liberating not to think about making that game, but actually making anything that runs across the wire in a satisfying manner! And then port that to another networking framework just for checking out the differences.
To say it in an analogy, you can’t expect to race the Tour de France soon when you haven’t even had the experience riding a bike with training wheels, yet you’re asking for racing bike recommendations.
I a new creater I did not make any game. I want to make my first game. I would know about you in YouTube ever I see this my message
