I would like to learn how to use lights in Unity. Do you have any tips/tutorials?
Indeed I would like to do Level Design. So make a nice scene.
So it’s not just placing GameObjects randomly in the scene but also making it beautiful. And suddenly, you also have to know how to use the lights. The VFX, it’s not complicated that, we place it in the scene like a GameObject but the lights must know how to place them correctly to have a beautiful light effect and make the good settings.
The subject matter is too broad and I’m not sure if you want technical advice for Unity, or if you’re looking for very general lighting / composition tips, in which case you might want to look up general photography tips.
Although in games we tend to avoid super dramatic shots in gameplay since we want players to see what’s going on.
It’s going to be a lot of trial & error for you. Usually for bigger games, a Lighting Artist does the job. You may want to look for tutorials about Unity and Lighting on YouTube for starters.
Aside from what @AcidArrow and @Mauri have said, Unity YouTube page is a good (visual) place to start. I’d recommend you watch the following video first:
