Guys, I’m at my wits end here.
Whenever I try and bring lightmaps I created in Beast to a new scene, they are VERY BRIGHT.
This of course is if I have a directional light in the scene (so that non static objects can have realtime shadows cast).
There is something about using the CLEAR button in Beast or adding an array of lightmaps manually that destroys the connection that works so well when you originally generate a lightmap in Beast.
Using Unity 3.5.6f4 Pro

I can’t be the only person having this issue.
Yep, I just bumped into that one. How can I turn off the directional light just for the meshes I manually added lightmaps to??? This method is the only way to lightmap my “9x2000 terrains and lots of trees” scene.
Hehe, man, I actually figured it out myself right now
You just need to import your lightmap textures as LIGHTMAPS, not TEXTURES. They import as regular textures by default… You know, just change the settings of textures in Inspector panel.
Cheers
Thanks for the post Kubold. Unfortunetly that didn’t solve my problem.
