Package Manager couldn't download any asset package [502 Bad Gateway]

I couldn’t download any asset package I bought in my Editor’s package manager.

All the bought packages are correctly listed under “My Assets” in package manager, however, the editor throws an 502 Bad Gateway Error every time after I click the “Download” button.

UnityEditor.AsyncHTTPClient:Done (UnityEditor.AsyncHTTPClient/State,int)

So far I’ve tried:

  • restarting Unity Editor & Unity Hub
  • logging out/logging in my Unity Account on Unity Hub
  • restarting my computer
  • switching to a different WIFI

Sadly, none of them fixed the issue. It also appears that downloading packages from Unity Registries works fine, it really seems just be Unity Asset Store assets.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The downloading suddenly worked :sweat_smile: I didn’t really do anything over the last few hours except restarting my Unity Editor a few times.

Hi, same here. I get this message in the console (I have updated Unity Hub today to version 3.16.1, Using Unity 6000.3.6f1):

[Package Manager Window] Error while getting product update details: 502 Bad Gateway. Something went wrong. Please try again later. [Error 502
UnityEditor.AsyncHTTPClient:Done (UnityEditor.AsyncHTTPClient/State,int)

Getting Error 502 when trying to connect to package manager as well, tried restarting my desktop and router, logging out and back in, etc. to no avail.

In case it is some sort of server issue on Unity’s end, and in case anyone is just looking to install an already downloaded package that doesn’t need updating/re-downloading, you can go here to find your downloaded packages:
C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\AppData\Roaming\Unity\Asset Store-5.x
*Might be different for you, but thats the default on Windows

Then just drag/drop into Unity like any other .unitypackage

this is true, but doesnt help with assets i dont have or just bought.. annoyingly the status page says the only issue is with US windows builds..

I’m getting this in 6000.3.5f2 and 2022.3.62f3.

I’m experiencing the same issue, tried clearing cache, restarting and logging out/in as well, nothing seems to be working for now

Another day with another issue I guess. Slowly getting annoying the 6.3 is not a beta why it’s getting so many issues lately ? >.<

Same here. Closed everything down, started everything up again. Rebooted the computer. Even ran a Windows update (because this was due anyway). Boot again. Open another project. Still the same. I can´t get any of my assets to download. Could this really be a server problem on Unity´s side?

502 Bad Gateway means a server trying to be reached isn’t there or responding.

So something on Unity’s server side is currently down.

I’m guessing the Global Game Jam broke the Unity servers :joy:. I have got the same issue myself.

Getting this as well, have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, clearing roaming data, and relogging to no avail.

yeah i just got a new computer and was looking forward to working on the project that was cooking my old one and i cant even get my assets lol.

Getting this now as well Also restarted hub / editor and all that fun stuff. With the amount of reports I’m sure it’s an issue on Unity’s end.
