Photon connects two computers in the same house to two different Regions (USW and USSC)

I live in Arizona. My computer connects to USW (San José) region, my roommates computer connects to USSC (Dallas) region.

This results in the two computers not being able to see each others lobbies, despite being under the same roof.

Not sure if there is anyway to control this but what might be a good way to solve this so that players in close proximity are not separated into different regions?

I’m having the same issue. My stuff is running on 2 quest pros with the region set to “us” in PhotonServerSettings and one headset is on “us” while the other is on “ussc”. Update if you find a solution

Either reduce the amount of regions using a whitelist in the dashboard of your app on the website or manually have the users select region. Region is selected by best ping automatically and if you have all regions available it can be likely that two of our data centers have roughly the same ping to the same location leading some players to alternate between regions when they connect.

Thanks Lukeesta, I ended up doing both of your recommendations - reducing whitelisted regions and allowing players to choose a custom region override. works great!
