Pixyz Studio started crashing recently (v2022.1.2.7)

Could be related to win11 upgrade? but reinstalling didn’t help..
Crashes on fbx imports already, not in every model apparently.

Hi mgear ,
I am sorry you are experiencing crashes importing fbx on pixyz Studio v2022.1.2.7. Have you tried updating to Asset Transformer Studio (Pixyz Studio ) to the latest version and try again ? v2022 is a bit old and we have released many fixes in the latest version 2025.4.2.1 ( as of the day of posting ). Let me know we are always here to help.

Yes tried upgrading, and actually after upgrading - main issue now is that it randomly loses the license? (unable to save, since it doesn’t have license anymore..)

i submitted support ticket for it, ill post the number tomorrow.. *issue: #2472776
They initially suggested that license server has corrupted file, but it usually works fine.. just randomly loses it (either at start or later?)

Updating is sadly not an easy process process for me. Is there more information on what may be causing these crashes and at least how to (temporary) resolve them?

The minimum required to crash seems to be to click on the root node, click away, and click on it again. Pixyz 2022.1.2.7 is due to these crashes practically unusable.

Pixyz studio crash can be caused by many reasons , one example I can think of is the GPU version , have you updated your GPU recently ?
its a little challenging to resolve your issue here so may I suggest opening a ticket to investigate the issue further. We are more than happy to assist you.

now slightly different error, happens every time (started suddenly)

MGear,
FWIW–I was just having the same error in my logs. I just upgraded to an HP Fury with the RTX Pro 5000 GPU and my 2022 version was crashing left and right. I even installed as an admin and everything. But I started launching the app as an admin and that helped a lot, but was still having crashes. I noticed here they suggested we upgrade. I worked my way through each 2025 version and tested on the same CAD. Ultimately, the MOST stable version was the latest one. And from what I just witnessed it was solid as a rock. So, if you can: 1. Upgrade to the latest vesion, and 2. Launch as an administrator.

Good luck!

yes, tried the latest one.

now it seems to be mostly hanging when do any kind of processing, like tesselate.
(and its random, sometimes works many times, other times it hangs)

will update here if support figures it out.
