Problems with license activation

I have been offered a redeemable Pro license to activate on the dashboard, on the “Redeem product code” page, but I am unable to activate it for a couple of reasons.

  • The organization for which I want to activate the license is not selectable, as it says “To use your free seat for a full subscription period, you will have to open a new organization and add the seat to it”. What does it even mean?

  • Since this is urgent and I don’t really care which org I’m using, I tried to add it to my old default organization, which is selectable for this license, but I got this error: “Please fill the correct country in the selected organization”. Needless to say the data for this organization is completely filled in and up to date, including country, so I’d assume this is just a bug.

Why is it so hard? Can anybody help please?

I’m not sure what you don’t understand, but here you can add a new organization if you’re logged in with your account:

I thought the point was obvious, I don’t understand why I should add a new organization. Why can’t I just use a new license on the organization I’m using regularly? What’s the point?

Maybe it’s the fact that English isn’t my mother language, but when I read

I associate to lack of understanding, not lack of clarity. Anyway.

I have no answer for you, Unity maybe knows why you need to use a fresh organization (but possible they don’t either), so if you contacted them on the proper support channels they will answer to you, until then you know what you have to do if you want to use this license.
