I tested all possible combinations with Spatializer, audiotypes, mixers, dsp size and more.
Nothing helps.
Delay on audio.Play() close to 0.5-1sec.
That make Unity 2023 nearly unusable for any VR Android project that use more than ambience audio.
I can’t say much about the audio issue other than that it sucks.
The performance issues are solved for me across all versions (the one you linked is just about medium quality soft shadows, so not relevant if you don’t use them).
If you notice a performance regression, make a bug report for it
You absolute hero - thank you for pointing me towards 2022.3.9! I had the exact same performance regressions coming from 2021 LTS, moved to 2023 to see if it fixed the performance issue (Woo, it did!) only to find out about the audio latency bug which seems… Fairly catastrophic!
Was tearing my hair out finding a version of Unity that’s actually usable for Quest development and you’ve found the answer.
I had this audio delay issue as well when creating quest builds using Unity 2023.2.0b16 and as stated in the bug report I can confirm that after updating to Unity 2023.3.0b4 the issue is fixed!.
