Today I decided to share with you a couple screens from our upcoming iPhone game: “Roswell fighter”!
A really short feature list:
-Classic shoot’em up with tons of new gameplay elements.
-Fantastic retro style (you will love the 50’s theme)
-Breathtaking 2D and 3D graphics
-11 huge levels
-amazing soundtrack (50’s style!)
-6 big boss fights
-interactive environment
and even much more!
More information, updates, videos and screenshots will be released in a few days.
I assume this is a unity game and I must ask you how you deal with bullets.
I use spritemanager and a bank of preloaded bullets but I can’t get a nice framerate. I mean it is perfectly playable but 50 or 60 would be nicer right?
What sort of framerate does this run at with what sort of numbers of bullets on screen.

Yeah of course Unity
We use our own version of the sprite manager (it can aniamte sprites, rotate …) When our coder will have some free time, he will publish our solution to you guys
The frame rate is mostly 25-50 fps (8-15 drawcalls) on iPod Touch 2g and the frame rate do not dropes under 14FPS on iPhone 1g. But it really depends on the current situation (bullet, enemy, bonus… count)
We are still tweaking
Well it looks awesome and I look forward to seeing how you guys did it and playing it when it is released. I especially love the look of that turret. For some reason it just gels with me.
