Hey, thanks for checking out my work in progress thread! For the past year and a half about I’ve been learning programming with Unity and working on a passion project.
The passion project is almost complete, mainly I’ve just been waiting around for the artist I hired to send me assets to implement to the programming. So in the mean time I thought I’d try one of those “speed projects”.
I wanted to do something I could work on max 3 hours a day and implement something. With the objective to make a small game within about a month or so.
Here was the end result of the first 3 hours: Day 1 GIF
I was disappointed because I really wanted to do something in 3D, as my passion game had been 2D as well. But my initial plans didn’t work out… and I quickly gave up hope.
I posted the prototype to Itch.io and kept doing daily updates. Here we are Day five, and I spent about 6 hours converting the game to 3D!
The 3D results of Day 5: GIF
It’s a super simple game where you have to make your opponent walk into your personal space. I designed the game to be multiplayer only. Currently the game is only local, but I have did UNet in my last game, so I have no worries about implementing it here as well.
If you’d like to try it out, go ahead and give it a download HERE from Itch.io. Or download the Itch application and download it on there to get daily automated updates!
I’ll be keeping this thread up-to-date with my patch notes and thought
Hope to discuss the game with some of you as well.
