Unity 5.6.2f1 won't boot up regardless of project

I’ve been having a lot of trouble booting up Unity 5.6.2f1 to open a project used for modding a game. Every time I try to open it, it gets stuck on the splash screen. I feel like I tried absolutely everything to get it to open. I tried closing it through the task manager, reopening it, restarting my PC, reinstalling the editor, and getting a new license. I also tried 5.6.2p4, but none of the above helped with my issue.
Then I saw some people mention in a different post to delete the temp and library folders. I did that, it looked like it was reimporting everything, but once it was done, it got stuck on the splash screen again. And it doesn’t seem to be a project issue either, because I tried to create a new project, and it just leads me back to the same problem.
However, I tried starting a different project on a different version of Unity (2019.4.9f1), and it seemed to work just fine, so it’s a problem that 5.6.2f1 supposedly has. It’s really frustrating since I need that version of Unity to work exclusively.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can fix this?

Try creating a blank project in 5.6 just to see if this opens. If it does then the project is the problem. What is it and where did you get it from?

When it gets stuck, open the editor.log and see what the last logs are. You can post them here.
