Unity 5: Colors Went Weird...

What causes this? The light grey is NOT the pro theme… how do i fix it?

Why not save the project and restart Unity. If that doesn’t work, go to Edit-> Preferences->Color. You may have tweaked something on accident. Hope it helps!

nope… there is no setting for that… i’ve tried everything in preferences/Color…

Try holding your mouse button down over the name of the window (so maybe inspector) and unlock it from its position. Then, close the window. You can then click Window-> Inspector and it will pop back up. Hope this helps.

closing and re-opening the window does not help

Have you tried reinstalling? It’s simple enough to do, should clear out any weird settings.

Did you try to create a new empty project? Sometimes there are editor extensions that influence the colors. By creating a new empty project, you can see whether it is caused by a third party extension.

Why not report a bug? It’s pretty clear we’re not the actual Unity developers here. Be sure to enclose a small test project even if empty, plus screenshots, so they can peel any data possible from your situation.
