I was having some issues diffing large files so I downloaded BeyondCompare and set it as my Revision Control Diff/Merge in External Tools. However I don’t like the BeyondCompare interface, and want to switch back to PlasticSCM. I changed the setting in External Tools, but still any time I try to diff a file it opens BeyondCompare. Is there some setting somewhere I need to change to get it to use PlasticSCM again?

Hi, Could you install the Plastic SCm standalone client and review it under Preferences → Diff tools? Plastic SCM - Download Plastic SCM
I’m guessing that there could be some issue when configuring it via the Unity plugin. In the Plastic GUI, we need to be sure that PlasticSCM Merge is above the list of external diff tools.
Ah good catch, it looks like I already had the client downloaded and set BeyondCompare to be my diff tool. However I’m having difficulty switching back… if I set the external tool to “Default”, when I hit Save it says “Tool not found, please introduce a valid one”. Any ideas?
