After many months of hard work our new game 5 Vikings is finally released for iOS and Android! 
5 Vikings is a 2D physics based, arcade/puzzle game set in ancient vikings time. The game was developed with Unity3D and 2D Toolkit.
Anyone interested in this game are much welcome to try it! All news and updates about 5 Vikings will be posted in this thread, so… stay tuned!

Looks like an Angry Birds clone indeed. I congratulate your team for the effort it took to make and release a game, but it’s a real shame that your talents were used on a clone for “easy” profit.
Apart from a few exceptions, the mobile industry disgusts me. Hope this game can finance a more original idea.

I think the point is that unless you do something better/unique, why should we try your game?
Currently on the screenshots I don’t see why you would play this over the hundreds of levels in angry birds?
If you don’t like a game - don’t try it … But how you would know if this is good or not without trying?
Don’t get me wrong, I like Angry birds, have all their games - it’s brilliant! The gameplay in 5 Vikings can resemble Angry birds, but we have a different approach, we use gravity in a more ‘physical’ way, this is what we choose. It’s hard to explain - you have to try it and feel the mechanics.
We have different characters - Vikings, and they can throw different weapons! This is quite different from the Birds )
There are 4 different weapons at the moment, but more to come, and perhaps even advancing system. A spin and rotations gives you even more complexity to hit a target.
We wanted to create our own game, our engine that we can control and shape as we like without copying others. We would like to tell a story and focus more on the vikings, history and mythology. Our game is not finished yet, but we are working hard to deliver the best quality we possibly can.
As a programmer you understand, of course, that this type of games requires enormous resources, time, skill and patience.
Hope this clarifies a bit more and shines on a mistery of Why one shall try 5 Vikings.
We are going to publish some videos from our game as soon as possible. The FREE versions will also be avialble shortly.

I will try the free version once available. I like angry birds for the record. I just wouldn’t buy a clone without knowing that I was going to find it entertaining.

Cool! Totally agree. We’ll try to release FREE version this week. I believe, it will be available rather faster on Android, waiting time for Apple Store is about 8-10 days.
Btw, 5 Vikings was FREE for iOS yesterday, 6th of July (full version) - it has been announced on our website 5vikings.com

Marketing advice aside, I don’t understand the on-principle hatred of clones amongst so many developers. Plenty of awesome games are clones. Arguably any game that can be fit into a genre pigeon-hole (FPS, etc.) can be called a “clone” to some degree. Judge a game based on how it plays, not on whether other games have similar looking screenies.

I agree to this so long as they aren’t blatent rip offs (which I am in no way saying this is). I actually seek out similar games to the one I like and I am sure many gamers do exactly the same thing. So i guess we are searching for clones! But that is why i suggested a video so we could see how it plays since the screenshots make it look similar.

THOR can throw his Hammer at x3 speed and destroy almost anything!
TYR is a Master of double-sided Axe, can easily crush enemies and their wooden vehicles and towers.
ULR fights the enemies by throwing his Spear, which can be as dangerous as multi-weapon.
BALDUR … when the others did not succeed, this viking can battle virtually through any barricade using his TNT-powered Morning Star
VALI is still a hidden warrior, his special abilities will be revealed in some of the upcoming updates, together with brand New Levels!

For the peoples that are saying about the Clone, the Volkswagen don’t stop to produce cars because GM, AUDI, BMW or another one do it too!
As you can see, all the cars do the same job, only have a different design. The same can be applied for the games, or, do you think that Medal Of Honor, Call Of Duty, Far Cry, Battlefield are not Clones?
