UnityException: No platforms found

Hello,

Compiling Unity Application on Unity Version: 4.0.0 with latest version of Android SDK [SDK Tools revision 23.0.2, SDK Platform-tools revision 20] causes following issue. Could you please advise?
[Unity Version 4.0.0 required]

Note that compiling with Android SDK [SDK Tools revision 21.1.0, SDK Platform-tools revision 16.0.2] works fine. However, we need to get update version of Android Tools to get new updated version of our Application works.

Error Message:

Error building Player: UnityException: No platforms found
Android SDK does not include any platforms! Did you run Android SDK setup to install the platform(s)?
Minimum platform required for build is Android 4.0 (API level 14)

Thank you

Working on a plug in, so had to install Unity 4.0. Having the same problem. Any good solution to this?

Edit:

Did research and figured out a solution. It’s not the JDK issue anymore in the year 2017. I am working with JDK 8 and it’s fine. The issue is about a changed folder structure of Android sdk tools starting from r22. So if you have SDK installed above r21, then make a backup of the folder platform-tools. Then copy the contents of the folder build-tools/26.0.2/(or what ever maximum version folder you have) into platform-tools. And that’s it.
