I was using 2022.3.62f1 and upgraded to 3.62f2. Rebuilt my app, uploaded to Google Play Console, and published through all possible tracks(including all testing tracks). It’s been a day since but still Google’s warning doesn’t disappear. WTF should I have to do now?
Same situation here — I updated two games before the warning appeared, and those didn’t receive any warning. I also updated two games that had the reported vulnerability — still no warning. But I updated three projects this morning, and those did trigger the warning. All the games were rebuilt completely from scratch using Unity version f2.
P.S. I’ve had extensive experience working with Google Play since 2013
but this warning is quite strange. It’s different from the usual ones like “update your game to the latest Android API.” The thing is, this particular warning allows you to file an appeal — which normally only happens when your app gets suspended from Google Play. From my long experience with the platform, I’ve filed such appeals twice before and won both times
I’m not sure yet, but I’ll probably wait a couple of days and then file an appeal. Also, what puzzled me is the “More about republishing your app after a policy violation” section — that’s not typical either. When I click the link, it asks me to enter my login and password, which I haven’t done yet since I’m not sure if I should.
Having the same issue too!
Not sure if it’s related to any of the plugins I’m using?
- Unity 2022.3.62f2
- In App Purchasing 4.13.0
- Advertisement Legacy 4.12.0
- Google In App Review
- AppLovin MAX with various integrations
[EDIT]
Oh, looks like the warning went away! Maybe Google was a bit delayed detecting the patch.
Yeah, give it a couple days. They told us their systems take a little while to rescan for vulnerabilities. If you patched using Unity Application Patcher or if you updated your Unity version to a non-vulnerable version and rebuilt your game with that, you should be good.
