Videos on Unity Learn are extremely slow and laggy

Using chrome here and this I’m having this issue. I’m a complete newbie, and it’s pretty impossible to learn anything if the videos keep pausing every two seconds. I have good internet, and the computer is new, son it can’t be that. Please fix!

Chrome user here. Very surprised to see this comment -And so high up as well!- since they’re still not working for me. I’m on th create with code course, and they were fine on my first day, but have been awful ever since. My internet is good and the computer is pretty new, so it can’t be that. If this issue persists, I’ll have to find some other platform, wich I definetly don’t want, since this seems like it would be such a phenomenal learning tool if it didn’t have this issue, as it’s really hard to find decent tutorials when you’re starting from scratch. Any ideas on why it might ot be fixed for me?
Thanks in advanced

Hello @mrpotato590 - Thanks for letting us know about the issue. Can you please let us know which version of Chrome are you using? Also which page/video are you facing this problem with? And where are you located?
Thanks!

I also use firefox and just opening the video in new tab really works.
Thank you for your suggestion it worked well.

Hi @SHAYAN_GREAT
thanks for reporting this. We’re currently investigating the issue, Could you please share your device and browser details to help us look into this further?

Also, could you please try opening the URL in an incognito/private window, just to verify that this isn’t a cache or session-related issue?

Hi, I’m having the same issue when trying to access content for the Create with Code course on Unity Learn. I use Chrome on a Windows desktop PC and tried reopening in incognito, clearing my cache, and opening in a different browser (edge). This started yesterday for me and was able to access the course last week.

Unity Learn

Is 500 Internal Server Error On me

I’ve experienced this same issue,
I found a workaround by viewing the content on my phone. Genuinely don’t know why that is, but I just wanted to mention hat

Hello,

Thank you for letting us know.

I will let the team know that the issue persists!

Can you confirm what browser you are using?

I’m still having trouble watching videos. On firefox, adblocker off. I remember at the beginning of the year not having any issues, I dropped off for awhile and picked it up again in the last few weeks and they just don’t load.

Hi,

Thank you for letting us know.

Can you confirm - is it only on firefox that you are having this issue currently?

I use firefox and I have this issue as well. Which browser do you suggest I try to avoid this issue? Thanks.

HI,

Please try on Chrome and let me know if the issue persists!

Thank you!

I downloaded and installed chrome and indeed the videos load quickly without getting stuck like they do with firefox. It’s a shame because I prefer to use firefox for everything. Oh well.

Happening to me now as well. Worked fine last night, but tonight the videos will play for 1 or 2 seconds then become unwatchable. Using chrome, no vpn, low latency, and my internet speed is very very fast.

I am also having this problem.

Hi,

Thank you for reporting this everyone.

I will hopefully have an update on this issue end of this week, beginning of next week.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Best,

Having the same problem in firefox, if i right click and select open video in new tab it seems to work.

Thank you @Fourne this seems to be a good workaround on Firefox !
