2022LTS Editor will not start

As the title says. Attempting to start the 2022LTS Editor inside or outside the Unity Hub results in the software beginning to load, but invariably halting on a random process in the loading sequence as evidenced by the splash screen. The Editor window will always pop up once the splash screen locks, usually with absolutely nothing in it. This hang lasts for upwards of two hours, after which point I get fed up and simply kill the process.

Running in Windows 10, 64-bit. The Hub starts up just fine, but even after completely removing Unity from the machine and whole-hog re-installing it, Editor simply will not start.

No logs are created; the system doesn’t appear to even get that far. For the record, yes, I can get into my AppData folder, but the Unity folder had not been created in that folder outside of myself creating it. Absolutely nothing has been saved there, even after repeated attempts to start the software.

It is indeed entirely random where in the starting sequence the thing will lock up. I have yet to see two of the same spot.

I am effectively entirely new to this; while I did some Unity dev work many years ago, my knowledge of the system is basically totally gone. You will likely need to explain what I’m doing wrong to me as though I were a child.

Okay, actually found the Editor logs; they’re not really where the log help page said they should be. Can y’all make heads or tails of this?

Baphijmm is the logged in user? And you aren‘t running Hub or Editor as Administrator?

The only suggestion I have is to try creating a new empty project under My Documents for example to ensure that the location has the correct access permissions. If that works then the issue is only with that Intro project.
