3D Model Resolution

Hi,

I have the 3D model, which look very nice and shiny in 3DS MAX, but it doesn’t look that much nice on Unity.

Is they anything to do with unity/model to bring the same look in unity also?

Thanks,

Shiny as in shiny? Add specular shader.

I means, the quality of the Model which look very good in 3DS Max but not in unity.

Thats normal.

first off all this is the wrong section but to help you show some screenshots so we can help you out

I have attached the model images on 3DS Max and Unity

just go to the materials of the car in Unity3d and change them from a diffuse material to a specular and ad a directional light that would do the trick

Thanks stefmen, You suggestion works for me. It is much better than earlier. Can you suggest some more tips/tricks to get some more better.

Create specular map?

An environment cube map works wonders for cars. Look for one of the free shader bundles in the asset store, as they have some excellent cube map shaders.

Also. You cannot use an exact replica 3D model of that Ferrari in your game if you do not own and licenses to use it with permission granting you to.

Didn’t create new one, but changed the shader from diffuse to specular as suggested by stefmen.

Thanks Sybixsus, I will try it

We are working on licensed copy of the model only.

Do you mean that can control the grants on model level not to display properly on unity/not able to extract all the model information correctly?

You cant use it in game without having a permission of Ferrari. You can just remove their logo so you don’t have to get permission.

Thanks for clarity, I am using this for my learning purpose only which won’t hurt Ferrari,
But anyway, I will remove it and continue with our custom logos textures.
