I mean even the bug got rejected that Unity loads all 4K heightstamps in a system into memory for the terrain tools while Unity should only load the thumbnails for the heightmap picker, otherwise users will quickly get an out of memory exception.
yes this needs to be taken more seriously, to many things just adding to the problems.
Sadly sometimes logging bugs feels a bit like phoning a tech support line where you must only follow their script, so even if yes, you have done all the things they are going to ask, they will tell you to do x (again) and you need to tell them you have done that and that whatever was the result, because you have to have tried their things, in their order or they wont move onto the next screen.
After my discussion about making every item in a class internal being bad practice because it means all the other classe can now just edit it, and might as well make it public - they gone reaaaaal quiet.. but, I know it will just get closed again
Apparently if your test cases have a compile error - which it doesnt mention btw, and the whole test system then denies all mention of test cases.. fixing this not a bug but a feature request so they closed my bug.
I wish i could say this to my work place..
sorry the crap i made didnt do what you wanted, or asked for, but youâre free to put in bids for new work
I just got a bug rejected as âby designâ ⌠sorry, but Iâm beyond words. The thumbnail preview being black on gray âby designâ in the year 2026 just doesnât make sense, at least not to me. Reporting any bugs is such a huge waste of my personal life time:
well if test case compiles not throwing compile errors (when appropriate) isnt a bug.. are you really surprised?? however, Im with you, it feels such a waste of time reporting bugs, because I swear if you wrote code that was like a=1, b=1 print a+b and it said 3.. somehow it would be our fault..
Hey everyone,
