AI burned all my trial credits with 2 simple questions

We are talking of almost 1000 credits. 2 questions. And that’s it. it’s that how it’s supposed to work? Buy credits and hope the AI don’t decide to burn them all in a session and leaves you with an half- modified project?

Yeah, idfk, happened with my trial too, it’s just not really worth it the AI sucks atm, it’s brand new I’m sure improvements coming to Unity 7, but as of now, Unity AI is just a little test, nowhere near being useful for development.

I highly suggest using this https://github.com/IvanMurzak/Unity-MCP. since it actually works well, it can do more than Unity AI can while being easier to use, less buggy, and free and open source.

To the Unity staff, your AI work is completely stupid, please direct your resources and team to develop a mature runtime virtual texturing solution for URP.

There is a significant difference between questions!

How do I add a Cube with physics to the scene?

± 50 credits

How do I create an infinite but chunked voxel world with jobs-powered chunk generation and greedy meshing?

± 500 credits

So it really depends on what those questions were, what the size and number of assets in that project was, and whether the prompts lead AI to scan a lot of these assets.

The most crucial part of working with AI is how to prompt AI, and what things to better not prompt the AI with. And when to start a new chat to clear context because if the previous context carries over to an unrelated task, even a simple question can become 5-10 times more expensive.

I’m sorry, that will require another 500 credits to answer.

Unfortunately chatbot technology is at the “we gotta stop giving away $100 for $1 or we’re going broke!” phase and this is happening all over the world.
