Hello! I was wondering if there was a way to get URP to have sharp shadows up close while still keeping the shadow distance far? This is what I’m running into:
Is there a way to maybe have different cameras have different shadow distances? Been stuck on this for a few weeks now so if anyone knows, its credit. Thanks for your time!
Maybe almost a year late, but hopefully my reply could help others facing similar issue.
Under the URP render profile, there is the shadow settings, just set the max distance to the value you need, but set the cascade to multiple (3 or 4), and set the distance of first cascade step to a quite low value (ie: 3-4 meters), and set the rest accordingly, this will make the shadow sharp when viewed from a close position (the user), but far distance will still have shadows shown at a lower resolution.
