How do I get crisp shadows at any distance?

I’m making a top down game and my camera is 365 units from my ground plane. I have shadow distance in my volume set to 1000 (higher numbers make no difference). However my shadows look blurry to my camera. When I lower my camera to 130 units the shadows become crisp. I’ve tried playing around with cascades but I can’t get the same level of detail as I do up close.

Does anybody know how I can have max shadow resolution no matter the distance?

For the record this is in HDRP 2021.2.0b1

You need to adjust the cascades in the post process component “Shadows”. I don’t think there is another way. Increasing the shadowmap resolution might also be necessary. Note that HDRP blurs shadows that are farther from the shadowcaster. You can control this by setting the angular diameter in the directional light.

Thank you! The angular diameter setting did the trick!
