My game is close to being done, at least I think, to be honest I’m probably wrong about that but nonetheless I haven’t come up with a name that I like. It’s an arcade style wave-based sci-fi sword fighting VR game, where you use your two swords to cut robot drones in half in extreme slow mo.
I also have some gameplay footage, a bit outdated but the core gameplay hasn’t changed too much.

Wave-Breaker
what was the names you did come up with that you dont like?
Cybernetic
Cyber
Robo-Risings
Blade
Cyber Destruction
Cyber Apocalypse
Cybernetic Glory
here’s a few for the pile:
Cyberslicer
Roboslicer
Cyberkatana
Cyberblade
Robot Ninja
Death To Robots
Ultimate Robot Ninja
Slicetron 3000
Cyberblade has a nice ring to it.
When it comes to naming small games I recommend avoiding proper nouns and instead use something that describes the gameplay and has a easy to remember title. You can’t go wrong with two words with similar sounds.
So:
Cyber Sword VR is a good example.
Already thy know it’s VR, is about using a sword, and has a cyber feel to it.
And it’s very easy to remember.
Not necessarily that exact name, but you get what I mean.
Conversely, an HORRIBLE name would be “Gladicus Rising: The First Republic”.
What is a Gladicus? What does “Rising” even mean? What is this about? What is this boring nonsense about a first republic? Do I call it “Gladicus Rising”, “The First Republic”, or “GR:TFR”? What was the name again???
See the difference?
