I have tried to patch the app on google play services using the editor 6000.3.1f1, but google play is refusing with policy “Violation of Device and Network Abuse policy”.
i have tried to understand where exactly the issue could be, but unable to understand where the issue lies.
We can’t help you with that. We don’t know your app nor do we know the details of the rejection. You have to contact google support. And read and understand what this policy is about to be certain that your app isn’t violating it.
Perhaps your app actually does something that isn’t allowed. It’s not uncommon for some things to miss initial review and then get flagged during an update - it depends on what individual reviewers take note of and how they interpret it.
If you know the rejection is due to the security issue, then check if it got applied correctly. I believe Unity has a tool to verify builds whether they need that security fix. If nothing else, simply build again and resubmit - can’t hurt (in case it was a false rejection) all the while you’re trying to figure out what the issue is.
i know you don’t know about my app, and i posted to understand better what exactly this security issue is if anybody could help or i may have proceeded with wrong steps.
furthermore, i had contacted google support to understand the issue, and while reviewing the message better with calm mind, i found that i missed the app bundle on which they were rejected and it was on the Production and Closed testing with previous version. So my latest changes were not getting rejected and after posting my latest changes on both tracks, it is posted successfully
