Are we forced to use Tuanjie engine?

We have been using unity 2023 and the. Unity 6 for development but our entity is in great china zone (hk), according to the recent vague announcement. Are we forced to switch our project back to Tuanjie or Unity 2022 (which is impossible because we have been using new features of unity 6 deeply).

If we continue to build game based on Unity 6, will we able to release our game worldwide? (Including china , HK and macau?

Could any unity insider give us a respond?

What I picked up from the conversation:

Unity 6 is not / no longer officially available in China. Tuanjie is the official solution.

Generally speaking: Publishing your projects is unrelated to Unity but of course you need to be aware of and adhere to local laws as well as distribution platforms’ terms of service, and whichever of the Unity terms of service apply to you. These documents are available online.

Keeping terms vague is what they are doing right now.

Basically it means: We as (unity technology) will not sue you for Publishing your game with unity6, but you need to be aware (you better be careful man) bcz our brother called unity china will probably sue you if you publish your game with unity 6.

It is a polite threatening.

Except no. The only thing Unity China is doing is not selling licenses for Unity 6.

What would the baseline be for an essentially unrelated company to sue you for?
Question is rather whether therr are any special chinese laws that disallow you to use an engine from the USA.
