Brand new install, new project compile error - missing packages in wrong directory

Hi I am new to Unity. After my first install, I created the suggested Get Started project. I was notified I had compilation errors and to enter safe mode. Upon entering safe mode, I see 150+ of these types of errors:

System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException: Could not find a part of the path 'D:\Workspace\Library\Bee\artifacts\mvdfrm\Unity.Burst.Unsafe.dll_21890BB978BF4350.mvfrm'.

I never selected this directory during the install (Unity is installed in my C drive, likewise my project folder is set in my C drive). Looking in that folder, there is nothing there.

I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled with no change in behavior.

I looked at the package manager and tried to click “Locate” and it doesn’t do anything.

Any project I create (including the starter templates) results in this.

I am at a loss, and not sure why Unity is even looking in my D drive when I never set anything up to do so.

Thank you for any help.

Nevermind of course as soon as I post I figure it out.

My autorun registry key was changed when I was setting up some other dev environment. Resetting to default blank fixed this issue.
