When I try to start Unity, after having run the installer a second time just installing an additional scripting backend, I am confronted with a “License Error” and have to refresh my licence:
In the end, the “Next” button does nothing and I am stuck. I tried many time, I tried rebooting. At some point I got an actual error in the end and was asked whether I want to try to do it manually. I did so - saving licence, uploading it online, downloaded new licence, loaded it in Unity. But after that, still the same.
Edit: I also did change my time zone just before it stopped working - from UTC-8 to UTC+1. And I did try to change back to UTC-8.
I reinstalled Unity, but same problem again. After the reinstallation, I was still logged in though, so there is probably data somewhere that has to be deleted to have any chance to fix this. Where would I find such data?
Edit: Just tried again with a second account. I did try earlier with a second account. But this time I did it the Manual way, while being logged in with my first user on the website where you upload/download keys. It worked, but I don’t know if this is what made a difference.
I had the same problem and I solved it by changing the time in my PC. It was because when I log in in to Linux and then switch to Windows, the time is changed, and it seems that Unity doesn’t like this.
